Freshman English is focusing on World Literature & Culture for this first unit, and it’s all about mythology! Today, students explored the fascinating clash of East and West through an insightful Ted Talk by Dr. Devdutt Pattanaik, an expert in Indian mythology. Students are uncovering how ancient stories shape cultural perspectives and influence our world.
There will be no JH Baseball or Softball practice tonight 8/27.

AW Titan Junior High Baseball and Softball games for today have been canceled. TEAM PHOTOS WILL STILL TAKE PLACE, and athletes will be dismissed right after. There are no practices today for baseball and softball.

Tonight's the night! Students and parents are invited to our annual back to school open house at Wethersfield Jr/Sr High School from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This is a great opportunity for students to organize their lockers, locate their classes, and meet their teachers. We will also have informational presentations for junior high and high school during the open house in the high school gym. The junior high presentation will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by the high school presentation at 6:45 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!
Reminder to all WES Families that Open House begins tomorrow night at 5:15pm with teachers running two sessions for parents to attend! Doors open at 5pm. Students may bring their supplies to Open House to get ready for the first day of school on Friday August 16th (1:45pm early dismissal). Please stop by our PATT station, SafeFamilies station, and our newly remodeled Library! Parents who wish to sign their student up early for parent-teacher conferences may do so anytime in the elementary office after their session is complete.
