Egg drop experiment... Chemistry classes created their own air bags using gas stoichiometry. They needed to determine the volume of the bags and then determine how much gas would fill the bags 90%. They used baking soda and vinegar to make carbon dioxide. Out of 7 groups, only one egg did not break (several broke as they fell off the bags or hit the sides).

Students in Mrs. Kegebein's class learned the process of Reductive Linocut. Students carved into a piece of linoleum to create a stamp. With each color printed, they removed more linoleum to allow the colors that were previously printed to show through. Check out their amazing work!

English 2 students completed an activity creating masks focusing on identity. This correlates to their novel Lord of the Flies. Students were given three choices and had to submit writing explaining the identity and their design choices. Students also used color theory to validate their decisions.

Mrs. Martinez's 1st grade class enjoyed donuts on Friday as their reward for winning "Geese Pride" during the month of January. Geese Pride is intentionally practiced every Friday as classes compete by showing school spirit. A winner is selected each week with the overall monthly winner earning a special incentive. The class that displays the most Geese Pride over the entire school year will earn class t-shirts. GO GEESE!

To accompany the novel Night by Elie Wiesel, students are researching and creating presentations on non-Jewish groups and victims persecuted during the Holocaust. Although Jews were the main targeted group, hundreds of thousands of lives were destroyed because of the Nazi regime. Many of these groups did not receive acknowledgment of their suffering until years after 1945.
