Today, Wethersfield alumna Sergeant Brooke Cheesman visited the eighth-grade students to share insights about her career in the United States Army. She encouraged students to consider the military as a potential path following high school. Sergeant Cheesman also visited Mrs. Vincent's second-grade class, whose students had sent her a care package during her deployment and later became her pen pals. During her visit, she read H is for Honor: A Military Family Alphabet to the class, a story that highlights the various branches of the Armed Services and honors the courage and commitment of the men and women who serve.
