Attention: Jr. High BOYS BASKETBALL Parent Meeting on Thursday night (Nov. 2 - tomorrow night) at 4:35 pm in the Carpeted Gym of the Elementary building. It is mandatory for Parents and Players to attend this meeting.

Juniors and Seniors in Mr.Trill's Dual Credit Government were discussing the recent violence in the Middle East between Hamas and Israel. Students shared their thoughts with classmates, Mr. Trill, and Mr. Nichols. Students researched past issues in the area and then explained their opinions. All students had the opportunity to voice their beliefs on the matter. Mr.Trill's class is a safe space where students can share their perspectives, even though they may have different viewpoints than their peers.

Tinsley Newman and Kirby Galvezo both completed awesome projects in Mr. Trill's class. Tinsley built a chest of drawers and Kirby built a coffee table. Great job both of you!

Students in Mrs. Newman's 7th grade ELA class chose a character from the novel, A Long Walk to Water, and had to fill the profile with drawings, symbols, quotes, thoughts, and feelings that the character was grappling with. Then students had to provide justification for why they included those particular things in their character's profile. Not only did this activity allow students to have a deeper understanding about a character, but it also allowed students to show off their artistic abilities!

Save the date! We are just over a month away from our Holly Jolly Christmas Festival on December 3rd.

HERE WE GO! Super Mario Bros. took over WES today! Thank you to parents for coming out to support students in our Costume Parade this afternoon.

Students in Mrs.Townsend's rotation class enjoyed creating spider webs as a fun Halloween treat. Students used pretzels and almond bark to build their webs!

Students in Mrs.Sauer's English class are reading and discussing Arthur Miller's play, The Crucible. Students were actively engaged as their peers read various parts from the different acts. It was fun to listen and watch as the students stepped into their character's role and read the dialogue...changing their voice and intonation.

Caleb McGill made this bed frame for his sister. He did an excellent job that will last her for many years. Pretty sure he is her favorite brother now.

Our Lady Geese always make us proud! Got beat tonight to an excellent Illini Bluffs team 14-25; 19-25 but the team left it all on the floor! Great season Coach Vincent, staff, and all of our girls!
