Kindergarten enjoyed accompanying a song with boomwhackers during music class. Some students even got to use the tallest boomwhacker.

Jr/Sr High Parents,
There's still time to schedule a conference with your child's teachers. Conferences are scheduled for 4-8 pm tomorrow night and 10am-6pm on Thursday. You may contact the teacher directly by email or call Mrs. Herridge in the office at 309-853-4205 to schedule a conference.

Mrs. DeKezel, the elementary school counselor, has been visiting the junior high classrooms once a month to share social and emotional learning (SEL) lessons with the students. This month, seventh graders learned about intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, while eighth graders learned about overcoming negativity. Through these lessons, students are learning skills like problem-solving, self-regulation, and empathy, which lead to helping improve academics, reduce negative social behaviors, and create positive classroom climates.

Walter, Certified School Therapy Dog, visited Mrs. Hagaman's music class with 1st grade students yesterday. He enjoys traveling from class to class greeting all the students and teachers. Thank you to Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. DeValkenaere for coordinating Walter's presence at school.
