WES Families: Parent-Teacher Conferences are this week on Wednesday and Thursday. Please be mindful of your scheduled time as each conference will last 15 minutes before the next conference begins. If the conference needs to continue past the 15 minute time, please setup an additional time to meet with the teacher or see Mr. Dennison.

As a part of Fire Prevention Week, the Kewanee Fire Department visited Wethersfield Elementary and educated students on fire safety and prevention. Students even got to tour the fire truck! Pictured is Ms. Woller's 2nd grade class.

3rd grade WES students are learning about Rondo form (ABACA) in music class. They worked together in small groups to create their rhythm for the B/C sections. They love creating their own rhythms!



Wethersfield Pre-K through 3rd grade art classes kicked off the fall season by decorating this tree with colorfully printed hand leaves!

Kindergarten completed a unit on apples by making applesauce. Students got to participate in preparing, cooking, and mashing apples before eating the homemade delicious treat!

Friday, our WES 1st graders welcomed their first guest reader! Ms. Woller sent in five clues to the class throughout the week. She came and read two of her favorite stories, The Poisoned Apple and The Gruffalo! Ms. Woller is a 2nd grade teacher at WES and her son Lawson is in first grade! Mrs. Kali Stoops came in to read to her daughter, Lottie, and her class. The first graders were able to learn more about Down Syndrome awareness as well as how we should acknowledge and appreciate everyone’s differences and similarities. Thank you to Mrs. Stoops and family!
