This week in Ms. Woller's class, they explored the life and work of the famous painter, Claude Monet! Using both a nonfiction text and a narrative nonfiction text, students learned so much about his life and had the opportunity to compare and contrast how the information was presented. To showcase their learning, everyone wrote a three-paragraph essay analyzing the two types of texts and sharing their knowledge of Monet. Then, to wrap up the week with some creativity, we channeled our inner Impressionists and painted our own versions of Monet’s Bridge Over a Pond of Lilies! Such a fun and engaging way to connect reading, writing, and art!

The recognition follows a 30-win season and another Regional Championship for our girls! We are very proud of their work on the court, but more importantly what each of these girls accomplishes in the classroom!
