Technicians continue to work on our heat situation today, here are some activity updates: JH Boys' Regional will be as scheduled in the HS gym tonight. HS Girls' Basketball Game in Annawan will be as scheduled tonight. Pre-K Family Fitness Night is cancelled for tonight. All practices that were scheduled in the JH or Carpeted Gym are cancelled for this afternoon/evening.

Our Flying Geese are home on Friday Night and it is packed night of activity! FFA Alumni Dinner - Little Cheerleaders - High School Basketball Wear your best flannel and cowboy boots and stomp out a VICTORY! JV game starts at 5:30 with the Varsity game to follow versus Abingdon-Avon. Go Geese!

Hello Geese Family, Unfortunately, we are experiencing issues with our boiler systems and the techs have been unsuccessful so far resolving them. Temperatures in the buildings have dropped to levels below what are acceptable for student attendance. We will be observing an e-learning day for the entire district tomorrow (Thursday, January 29th). Evening activities will be addressed tomorrow and notifications sent out when decided. Thank you.

Freshman students deepened their understanding of history today by participating in a virtual tour of the Auschwitz concentration camp. Through guided exploration and reflection, students connected their learning to real historical sites, fostering empathy, historical awareness, and a deeper understanding of the events of the Holocaust.

Video games can be beneficial when used in moderation, but our brains also need regular breaks from screen time. Please take a moment to check out the graphic for some helpful tips.

Wethersfield Elementary’s Family Literacy Night will take place on Monday, March 2, from 6:00–7:00 PM. Join us for an engaging evening celebrating reading and learning. More details coming soon—we hope to see you there!

Our varsity girls basketball game is moving from Ottawa Marquette to Annawan on Thursday night. One game tipping off at 6:00 pm. A huge thank you to Annawan for hosting the game on short notice!

Congratulations to this year’s Spelling Bee winner, Emma Schiltz, a 6th grader, for an outstanding performance! A big congratulations as well to our runners-up: Avery Frie, 8th grade, who earned 2nd place, and Kassidy Fink, 6th grade, who placed 3rd. We are proud of all our participants and their hard work—well done!
