
6th grade students tested their earthquake-safe buildings that they created for their Earthquake Project in science class.


Sophomore health students recently completed hands-only CPR training along with AED use training.


Mrs. Addis’ 6th grade class met with their kindergarten buddies for a holiday craft!


It's a DOUBLE VICTORY for the Lady Geese as the Varsity takes down the Rams of Riverdale by a score of 41-39! The JV team was also victorious by a final of 45-37! It's a great night on Goose Island!


Second-grade students worked together to research Christmas traditions from around the world. They created beautiful displays and engaging slideshows to share what they learned. Families joined in the fun by preparing delicious food samples, allowing everyone to 'travel' from country to country to experience and taste Christmas celebrations from across the globe. It was a festive and flavorful day of learning and sharing!


Tonight's FANS of the Game brought the passion and cheers for the Flying Lady Geese!


The boys' basketball games v. Henry today at Wethersfield High School have been canceled due to dangerous road conditions. A make-up date will be announced for a rescheduled date.

We had 4 OUTSTANDING Goose Award Winners this afternoon; Charlotte Smith, Abel Humphrey, Camden Cortes, and Alayna Grier. Absent from the picture was Allison Gibson. Congratulations!



8th grade digital literacy students have been helping second-graders with their Christmas Around the World projects.


The 8th Grade Girls' Basketball season ended tonight at the Sectional Championship game in Shabbona! Our Regional Champ Lady Flying Geese played hard against a tall and talented Putnam County team! We are ALWAYS proud of our Geese!

Yesterday, Pre-K students had a hot cocoa tasting party with gingerbread man cookies. Afterward, they graphed their favorite hot cocoa toppings.


The K-5 and 5th Grade Choir Winter Program is tomorrow Thursday, December 12th! The matinee will be held at 1:30pm and the evening performance at 6:30pm in the Wethersfield High School gym. For the evening performance, students should report to their classrooms in concert attire by 6:15pm. After the performance, students will be escorted back to their classrooms where they can be picked up by a parent or guardian. Students are excited to show how hard they have been working on their songs!


Wethersfield Elementary dress-up days for next week (12/16-12/20). Next Friday 12/20 will be a 1:45pm early dismissal for staff and students.

The core value for the month of November was gratitude: appreciating the good in life & acknowledging the contributions of others. From those who were nominated, the staff voted for Brian Sauer. Brian was nominated by Mrs. Seiden.
The WHS Athletic Department received several nominations which resulted in Lana Scott being chosen for the Positive Student-Athlete of the Month! Lana consistently promotes the girls' basketball program, encouraging students of all skill levels to join. She highlights the teamwork & camaraderie that make the program special, fostering a supportive & welcoming environment for everyone.


Fourth grade students recently explored a crime scene to uncover clues about the Boston Massacre. They read eyewitness accounts, newspaper clippings, and examined paintings and drawings. Students also learned how this event was another step leading colonists towards the American Revolution.


English 1 students stepped back into the 1950s today, exploring the era through QR codes that linked to interactive videos and websites! They dived into music, fashion, dating norms, cooking trends, and daily life expectations of the decade. Who needs lectures when this is a fun and engaging way to bring history to life?


Mrs Townsend’s 8th Grade U.S. History Class has been working on a unit about the Revolutionary War. They used illustrations to demonstrate their knowledge of the grievances against the King listed in the Declaration of Independence. The students were very creative!
