Today's freezing rain caused us to use the last of the district's E-Learning days for this calendar year. Any days after today are traditional snow days that will be made up at the end of the school year. It looks as though there is more freezing rain, sleet, and possible snow moving into the area overnight and just prior to commutes tomorrow. Please be prepared for a range of possibilities tomorrow that may include: a regular school day, a 2-hour late start, or a snow day (not e-learning). Be safe.

Today, 8th grade students in Mrs. Townsend's Civics class got to participate in an activity where they experienced weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation. For example, Congress couldn't require the states to pay taxes and the US didn't have a standing army. All states had one vote and to change the Articles, it had to be a unanimous decision. This cup activity represents how the individual states fought to stand alone, but in the end, you are stronger when you stand together!
