To prep for the classic novel To Kill a Mockingbird, 10th grade English students are participating in a Gallery Walk reading about five classic crimes and trials throughout history. They are using evidence with critical thinking skills to make predictions about each verdict. Once the verdict is revealed, students will be asked to focus on how the Big Idea- Society shapes and influences individuals- correlates to each of the classic crimes and trials used. This Big Idea will be the focus throughout the unit of study.
